More than 400 new breweries opened in the UK in 2017, almost 100 fewer than in the previous year according to the brewers Association.

Growth for small and independent US craft brewers remained stable for the first half of 2018, according to new mid-year figures released by the Brewers Association.

American craft beer sales grew by 8% in 2017, but the number of breweries that closed nationwide jumped by nearly 70%.

Craft breweries in America produced 24.6 million barrels in 2016, a 6% improvement than the previous year.
